Proton dealerships

Proton Cars Australia was a subsidiary of Proton Holdings Berhad, a Malaysian car manufacturer. The company was established in 1983 and has been manufacturing cars since 1984. Proton Cars Australia was based in Melbourne, Victoria.

In 2017 the company was taken over by the Geely Automobile Holding. Although it has been repeatedly announced that Proton will relaunch new models in Australia, for the time being Proton dealers service the older models still on Australian roads.
